Topeka Railroad Festival 2009
The planning stages for the Topeka Railroad Festival is well on its way.
Date: August 22, 2009
Gates open at 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Tickets will go on sale July 1, 2009
Tickets: $5.00 per person
Ages 6 and under free
Tickets at the gate: $8.00 (Cash only)
Events include a children's activity area, hobo camp, model railroads, railroad memorabilia, railroad displays, hand cars, antique cars, trackless train, pie eating contests, dunk tank, military equipment, climbing wall, many other contests, crafts, demonstrations, exhibitors, re-enactors, entertainment, vendors,variety of food vendors, beer garden and more.
We want to give the community an opportunity to participate in this great event. We are looking for individuals to help participate in our train robbery, walk around entertainers,
story tellers, re-enactors, judges, and more.

Volunteering
To make this event successful, we are going to need many volunteers. The areas of need include traffic control, children's area, ticket taking, coordinating the contests, setup, teardown, and much more.
